FAQ
How much does dock repair cost?
Dock repair cost depends on the type of repair, materials needed, accessibility, and whether hidden damage is present. Generally, dock repairs are much less expensive than a full rebuild. The best way to get accurate pricing is to request a quote so we can evaluate your dock and provide a quote.
Can you tell me if my dock needs repair or a full rebuild?
Yes. If we look at your dock and believe the repair is outside our scope or not the right solution, we will tell you honestly. Learn more with this comprehensive comparison of spot board replacement vs complete resurfacing. →
Can I send photos for a quote?
Yes. Sending photos is one of the best ways to start. You can complete the quote request form and then email us your photos. In almost all cases, we will still need to make an in-person evaluation.
How quickly can you do the work?
Scheduling depends on the season and repair type, but we aim to provide a reasonable turnaround, so you can safely enjoy your dock.
What if I just need some deck boards replaced?
That is a great example of the kind of practical repair we are here for, whether you need twenty deck boards replaced or a complete resurfacing.
How does your process work?
First, you submit a quote request form and then we contact you to schedule an in-person evaluation of your dock so we can prepare a detailed quote. Once we give you a written quote, if you choose to accept it, we will send you a deposit invoice for 50% of the total quote amount. When that deposit invoice is paid, we will schedule the job with you. Finally, upon completion of the work, the remaining 50% balance is then due.
Do you build new docks?
No. Tideland Dock Repair focuses on general dock repairs rather than new dock construction.
Do you replace pilings?
No. We do not replace pilings.
